Looking at the data provided in 2017 for Turkey’s import and export numbers, the elevator industry, which mainly imports elevators and elevator parts, has achieved an import value of approximately 224 million dollars compared to the exportvalue of 159 million dollars, reaching the total foreign trade volume of 383 million dollars.
When these numbers are considered, it’s clear to see that the industry has a foreign trade deficit of 65 million dollars. After analyzing the data, it’s found that domestic installation companies prefer to import elevator parts and equipment.
